Who we are
AC Welding is a welding engineering consultancy firm.
We are specialists in aluminum alloy welding, robotic welding and welding process optimization.
We provide personalized theoretical and practical training, also useful for obtaining qualifications of welders and welding procedures, but above all for achieving high quality standards of your welding.
We also deal with CAD design and technical drawing, and with Non-destructive testing ISO 9712 Level 2: VT, PT, RT-FI.
The owner of AC Welding, Eng. Pierluigi Santagati, graduated from the Polytechnic of Turin in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Design. He gained experience at a world-leading company in the Aerospace sector, mainly dealing with the design and manufacturing of pressurized aluminum space modules. His activity ranges from structural analyses using the FEM method to the supervision and review of welding parameters, in the FSW process, for the manufacturing of space modules, collaborating in the development of new qualifications of FSW welding procedures, including the interpretation of the results obtained by NDT.
From this experience, the freelance career path begins, thanks to a strong passion for everything related to the world of welding, and in 2023 AC Welding was born.
The studio offers extremely high professionalism and sophisticated technical training in the field of welding and all its problems, with particular interest in aluminum alloys. In order to guarantee an ever higher level of professional quality, Eng. Santagati decides to invest in technical and specialized training in the welding field, so much so that he achieves the title of International Welding Engineer (IWE) and qualifications as a non-destructive testing operator in the Visual, Liquid Penetrant and Radiographic (film interpretation) methods.
Today the studio follows Italian and foreign industrial and production companies, but is available for anyone who is passionate about welding or has needs in the field.
AC Welding has obtained the highest qualification level required by the EWF (European Welding Federation) and the IIW (International Welding Institute), satisfying the technical knowledge requirements defined as complete by the ISO 14731:2019 standard for carrying out Welding Coordination activities.

All certifications obtained by AC Welding in the world of welding were obtained at the Italian Institute of Welding (IIS).
